Reunion College talk by Bruce Morser
If I Only Had a Brain: A Career in Creativity after Colgate. Ever notice how the Scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz worries about not having a brain, but solves many problems? Creativity is difficult to pin down. Its source is everywhere, like vague flashes of lightning through dense evening fog. A fan of the Scarecrow, I’ll use examples from my wide-ranging career in the arts to describe a joyful, unschooled approach to a career in creativity, and why my Colgate education was particularly good preparation.
Soundtrack of our college days
Our committee put out a call for music memories from our time at Colgate. The class of ’76 delivered! When you check-in for the weekend on campus, your packet will include access to an exclusive 34-hour Spotify playlist with a flashback soundtrack circa 1972-76. (A free or premium Spotify account will get you playlist access.)
Reunion College panels developed by/featuring our classmates:
You’re Retired, Now What? Tips and ideas for how to make your nest egg keep pace with your life.
Our Three-Generation Families: Joys and Challenges of Grandparenting. We’ll share wisdom and wit, challenge norms, and head home with fresh ideas for nurturing these precious relationships.
Midway to the Tri-Centennial: Reflections on the Evolution of the Great American Experiment. In the year of America’s 250th anniversary, we’ll look at progress through the lens of critical events of the past 50 years.
Stay tuned for more details as these and other events are finalized.
